Where science meets practice: A Pilot Project in Whole-Body Cryo Exposure

05.03.2026

What happens inside the body when the human organism is exposed to a temperature of –110 °C for three minutes?

This question was at the center of a scientifically supported pilot project conducted in February 2026 at our showroom in Gelnhausen. The project was initiated by Livity Health, who used our facilities as well as our two-room cryo chamber cryoE2 all-in-one (–110 °C) to carry out structured measurements under real-world conditions.

Structured Approach with a Focus on Reproducibility

In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of specialists and volunteer participants, key parameters were recorded before and after the application. The focus included, among others:

  • Heart rate variability as a sensitive indicator of autonomic regulation
  • Skin surface temperature to quantify thermoregulatory responses
  • Subjective well-being as an additional user-centered parameter

A high-resolution infrared thermography system, IRIS-XP by Medicore, was used. The system captures temperature changes non-invasively and in real time with a resolution of 0.05 °C, making even minimal physiological responses visible and traceable.

A key factor in the project’s significance was the combination of precise measurement technology, professional supervision, and a controlled environment. Only this setup creates the foundation for reliable, transparent, and reproducible results under defined conditions.

Relevance for the Cryo Market

The market for whole-body cryo applications is evolving rapidly. At the same time, expectations regarding evidence-based insights and transparency are increasing. While initial scientific investigations already exist, each additional validation with clearly defined protocols and advanced measurement technology helps to further strengthen the empirical foundation of the industry.

For us as a manufacturer, this means approaching development not only from a technological perspective, but also advancing it based on data. Technological excellence delivers its strategic value where it can be objectively assessed and produces transparent, measurable outcomes.

Practical Relevance Under Real-World Conditions

Of particular importance is the fact that the data collection was carried out using our cryoE2 all-in-one system. The results are therefore directly linked to a specific technical setup and must be considered in the context of real-world application.

This close connection to actual operating conditions provides a solid basis for decision-making for operators, practitioners, and investors who rely on transparent performance metrics and reliable data.

Outlook and Strategic Development

The project represents an initial, methodically structured step within a long-term development process. Further analysis and extended evaluations in collaboration with Livity Health are already in preparation.

We see this initiative as a strategic investment at the intersection of technology, health, and longevity.

Our perspective is clear: the future of cryo applications will be shaped where effects are not simply claimed, but precisely measured and systematically evaluated.

The results presented do not constitute advice or a form of treatment. The system is not classified as a medical device under MDR regulations.
